Your ChipCreate Shuttle Reservation & Payment Milestones

Securing your spot on the ChipCreate Shuttle is a straightforward process, ensuring your project moves efficiently from design to fabrication:

• Secure Your Space: Your initial $500 USD non-refundable reservation deposit is required to secure your spot on an upcoming ChipCreate Shuttle run. This deposit is crucial for project planning and scheduling fabrication.
• Commitment Payment: A 50% deposit of your total project cost is due by the "Commit Deadline," which is 60 days before the final design submission deadline. This formalizes your commitment to the shuttle run.
• Final Payment: The remaining balance for your project is due 14 days before the final design submission deadline. You will have the flexibility to submit and update your design files right up until this deadline.

Understanding Costs & What's Included

The base price for a standard ChipCreate Shuttle project is $14,950 USD. This comprehensive price includes:

• Fabrication of your custom silicon.
• 100 QFN packaged parts of your completed chip.
• An evaluation board for testing your design.

Additional services like design review and premium support are available at an extra cost. Qualified educational institutions and organizations submitting multiple designs may be eligible for discounts.

Shuttle Scheduling and Cancellation

ChipFoundry operates a multi-project wafer (MPW) program, allowing multiple customer designs ("Projects") to be fabricated on a single wafer.

• A minimum of 20 confirmed participants is required for a shuttle fabrication run to proceed. ChipFoundry provides regular reservation updates and will notify you once this threshold is met.
• ChipFoundry may reschedule or cancel a shuttle if the minimum customer commitment threshold is not met.
• In the event of a shuttle cancellation by ChipFoundry, you will be offered a full refund of your reservation deposit or the option to roll over your project to the next available shuttle.
